The current, global “economic crisis” is being driven by two things that each of us control completely, greed and fear. Greed and policies driven by it created the problem, fear perpetuates it. I happen to believe in capitalism, the rights of the individuals and freedom. We will not be able to have any of these things if we do not “police” ourselves.
Our money is not who we are. The lack of money may bring difficult circumstances, it does not mean that we need to become less caring or myopically self-centered in order to survive. Our well-being will be determined by how we behave with others and the degree to which we are able to love unconditionally and absolutely in challenging circumstances.
It will be how we are “being” not what we “have” that will determine how well we weather this storm.
