bill cummingIn 1964, he helped found a Ford Foundation Project, which became a pilot for Upward Bound. He spent thirteen years as an adjunct member of the faculty in the College of Education at the University of Maine, helping found the University’s Aspirations Four School Project. He was a key partner in the New Horizons Academy and developed Trustee Effectiveness Training – a series of workshops that allows individuals and Boards to understand their roles in for-profit, public and non-profit organizations – for what is now Key Bank nationally.

He was a founding trustee of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, elected twice to the Maine School Union #47 Board of Directors and served as its Chair for three years. His work has included the development, management and support of programs in economically distressed areas of Houston, Cleveland, Grand Rapids and Newark.

bill is the creator of “Motivation, What Works,” “The Power Within” and “What Every Person Can Do,” “Inspired Teaching” and “Inspired Leadership” courses, all of which encourage loving-kindness, ownership, responsibility and teamwork. These programs have been delivered in hundreds of school systems, Job Corps programs, non-profit organizations, corporations, individuals and the Maine State Prison System as part of the New Horizons Academy. He is known for his ability to work and be with people in such a way that they are honored, acknowledged and valued as human beings; he attempts to ask the most important questions no matter how difficult they may seem.

bill is a fifty-year coaching veteran. He has been a coach, consultant and trainer to CEOs and the executive teams of health care delivery organizations, businesses, school systems and non-profit organizations ranging in size from the Fortune Fifty to start ups. He is also a coach’s coach to some of the most successful people in the field. His work focuses on creating inspired environments where individuals take responsibility for their lives and the organizations for which they work. He is Director of The Boothby Institute. ~ We Live in A Miracle ~

The creator of Heart of the Moon© (Xīng-Yuè Nèi-Xīn©) Consciousness Practices (星月内心 意识训练©) her own system of working with people’s overall-well-being, she teaches regularly, both locally and internationally. She has been practicing meditation, working with energy, well-being, optimal physical condition and consciousness for 35 years. She is a  long-time practitioner of Chen Taijiquan.

She spends much of her time out in the woods of Maine exploring the natural world around her. Drawn to light in all its many facets, the cascades of dewdrops in the dappled soft light of the pine forests, moonbeams dancing across forest floors, the brilliance of the sun as it refracts light in the sky into billions upon billions of tiny rainbows. “Living in a miraculous world of light, each moment new, filled with possibility for camera to meet light, capturing a unique moment to share the miracle in which we live” ~ grace. When not out playing in sunbeams, forests and waterways she spends her time focused on A World That Works for Everyone.
