The holiday of Thanksgiving is upon us.
I wonder what might happen if we all were actually thankful
each day for our being alive in this miracle called life?
Riding on the bus with a student, the familiar intense odor of Spring-spread manure came in the window. I smiled and thanked God aloud for my sense of smell. I breathed deeper and became more joyful and called it “perfume”. Our eyes were joined in joy, as I breathed deeply and thankfully (just as I do with lilacs). Two days before, that same experience had been most unpleasant to me.
May I remember to bring my joy to each moment and spread it generously!
Thank you, Pat!
Think about who grew your food, delivered it, cooked it, served it or cleaned up after you.
I wonder how many of them we thanked?
