A person said to me today that their real passion was healing people.
There was no question in my mind that they wanted to be able to do that more that anything.
A problem arises, however, when we think we control the well being of another.
In the moment we think that thought, we allow ourselves to believe others are not responsible for their own well being.
How stable do you think a person’s healing would be if they believed it was provided by another?
There are no random acts of violence.
There are plenty of acts of violence that are produced by the behavior of unwell people.
To whom have we spoken harshly?
Who have we judged and evaluated?
We have made progress. In 1971, roughly 75,000 people died each day from hunger and persistent starvation. Today the number is roughly 35,000.
None need die!
How would it be if every time all of us went out to dinner, we contributed an equal amount to an organization committed to ending hunger or poverty in general?
