Every major religion in the world has been talking about loving people and the need for human kindness. Most of the major military conflicts historically and now are between factions of various “spiritual” groups.
Loving-kindness at an experiential level requires actions and can be felt in ways that can never be described.
What makes us think that words or thoughts make any real difference?
Perhaps because those thoughts originate in our “thinker,” not our heart.
Any individual or institution that claims to have “the only pathway or access” to God has absolutely nothing to do with God at all. There are different thoughts, ideas, beliefs and pathways. Set up your own, love it and leave all the rest of the people alone. The idea of a “religious” war by the very nature of it has nothing to do with God, Allah, the Buddha. It is only a way for fearful people to feed their insecurity.
What is my responsibility in relationship to religious organizations to which I am connected?
Historically, in Somalia, during periods of drought and hunger, the poorer tribes used to be able to get assistance and food from the wealthier ones. Now that the country is divided along religious lines between Islamic and Christian traditions, no one is providing that emergency aid.
Can anyone please tell me how any of this is a reflection of God or Allah?
