Staying Stuck





A wannamle (a totally fictitious creature, of course) is one who complains about everything constantly. Everything is always someone else’s fault or responsibility. Their lives are awful, as are their parents.





Unless we are talking about things from the perspective of finding a solution, what, really, is the purpose of whining conversation?








Hunger is Very Personal








What do you think would happen if 35,000 people were dying for no reason in the United States or Great Britain?




Are you willing to look very, very carefully about why we are not responding to exactly this situation in third world countries?








Solutions Are In Our Hands





Today is the men’s final at Wimbledon and during a rain delay, the television network did a background piece on Andy Murray who is from Dunblane, Scotland. He was in the school where sixteen children, five and six years olds, and one of their teachers were gunned down in 1996.


Again today, the commentators referred to the shootings as if no one could understand how such a thing could come about.



What will it take for us to finally understand that violence and damage are the result of violence and damage to which we all contribute. Until we accept responsibility for that which we endorse, encourage, ingest, ignore and justify, it will never change?
